Late Night Crazy Battlestar Galactica Theory
So you know how some people think that Starbuck on BSG is not a cylon, but her crazy return from the dead can be explained by the fact that she actually the first cylon-human hybrid?
I sort of thought this whole concept was odd and weird until I figured it out: she is the first cylon-human hybrid and a copy of Leoben Conoy (the scary Keith Callum Rennie cylon who held her hostage on New Caprica and also who she tortured earlier in the series) is her dad.
OMG OMG it makes so much sense. That’s why he was the guy in her crazy dreams before she fake died and that’s why he’s the only one besides her mom who’s obsessed with her special destiny.
It makes so much sense.
…The final cylon? I kind of have no idea. I kind of like that I don’t know, because I can’t just watch TV, I am constantly on the lookout for ways these things are being telegraphed. Laura Roslin seems like a possibility, mainly because she’s currently the last person I think could be a cylon (except the Admiral) and that was true of most of the four new secret cylons.
Loosely related: Documentary Fetishism in Battlestar Galactica. I tumblred this, but I basically assume no one reads my tumblr so I am double-linking.

I really have got to get on the BSG bandwagon again. It seems like everyones watching it and Im missing out. I watched all of the first season and then stopped. I read on the internet who the remaining cylons were and then it said there was another group of cylons who were cylons within cylons, such as Saul Tigh and the Indian girl etc. I didnt find the show very interesting (oh no! no more water! and then they magically find water. And the endless Balter and Tricia Helfer conversations) but thought the idea of it was. I didnt like how it seemed so repetitive.
Is this the last season, whats on now? Because if it is I will just wait for it to be over and buy all the DVDs this summer.

That theory makes me kind of want to puke because Leoben wants to be on Kara. Incest!
I really want to the last Cylon to be Roslin because that means maybe she won’t die, if she dies. But it’s probably somebody lame like Dee. Boo. (You see how I’m trying to psych myself out.)
I’m so glad that I’m not the only blogger I know that watches Battlestar!

Jaya: This is the last season, but it’s being broken up so they’re showing 10 episodes now and then 10 episodes later. I can see what you mean about the boringness (esp. with Baltar and Six, but there’s actually WAY less of that in later seasons).
Ashley: I KNOW. But seriously, he’s always trying to guide her. To her destiny. All we know about her dad is he played the piano, she’s never talked about him otherwise. I’m guessing because she never knew him. BECAUSE HE IS A CYLON. I almost called this post “Battlestar Incestica” but I didn’t want that popping up in people’s RSS readers and them thinking I wrote weird fanfic or something. Which admittedly making wild borderline incest theories is only like two geek steps away from.
