As pure as New York snow
Embedded below is Leighton Meester’s cover of “Bette Davis Eyes.”
It’s not laughably bad, but it’s resoundingly mediocre, which is something that Blair Waldorf would never allow.

It’s… not as bad as I thought it would be. I just watched the second episode of Entourage too, where she sings (I think), and also surprisingly good.

Yeah, her voice is totally fine and I’m sure I would like it with the right material, but the production is kind of bizarre and ill-suited, as is the song choice.
I haven’t seen any of her episodes of Entourage, but she keeps showing up other places, like she was on an old House and she’s of course Carrie Bishop of VM, which I completely didn’t realize until very recently when I was watching season 1 with my brother.

I placed her immediately from VM when Gossip Girl came out, because I thought she was absolutely fabulous as Carrie - she really jumped out at me. I just IMDB’d her though… and she was in 24? Srsly?
And I have to watch her and Blake on 30 Rock, totes.

I could not be more excited about the Gossip Girls on 30 Rock! Seriously, most exciting TV crossover ever.
